Roof Cleaning FAQ

How much does roof cleaning cost?
Roof cleaning costs vary depending on roof size, access requirements, roof type and the amount of moss present. Following a free survey visit, we provide a fixed written quotation with no hidden costs. Prices generally range from £900 - £5,000 depending on roof type and size.
Is roof cleaning safe?
Yes. We carefully select the most appropriate cleaning method for each roof. Modern roofs are typically steam cleaned using specialist low-pressure equipment, whilst older or more fragile roofs may be manually cleaned to minimise risk.
Will moss grow back?
Following cleaning, we apply a professional biocide treatment to inhibit regrowth of moss, algae and lichen. Whilst no treatment can permanently prevent organic growth, roofs typically remain cleaner for many years following treatment.
Do I need scaffolding?
Not always. Many roofs can be safely cleaned using specialist roof ladders and access equipment. Where scaffolding or other access systems are required, this will be identified during the survey and included within the quotation.
How long does roof cleaning take?
Most residential roof cleaning projects are completed within one to three days, depending on roof size, complexity and the cleaning method required.
Do you clean commercial roofs?
Yes. We regularly carry out roof cleaning works for commercial properties including offices, schools, hotels, warehouses, apartment blocks and other large buildings.
What areas do you cover?
Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Amersham, Marlow, Maidenhead, Ascot, Weybridge, Cobham, Radlett and surrounding areas.
What roof types do you clean?
We clean clay tile roofs, slate roofs, concrete tile roofs, cedar/shingle roofs, metal roofs and commercial flat and pitched roofs.
